A Review of Albergo Del Senato

You know what they say … Location, Location, Location! Well, if you are looking for a hotel with the perfect location in Rome, look no further! One of the greatest things about Rome is it’s ancient history and the many iconic sites that can been seen all over the city.

Albergo Del Senato is located literally steps from one of these sites, the Pantheon (the best preserved ancient Roman monument). It is also within walking distance from Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain, The Spanish Steps, and the Colosseum.

 

Aside from the great location, Albergo Del Senato had much to offer. First and foremost, the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. They were able to recommend great places to eat, scheduled our cab for us the morning we were leaving, and ensured we had everything we needed for our stay.

The hotel itself was beautiful. We were upgraded to one of the corner suites which was very spacious (including a separate seating room), had plenty of storage (two closets), a large bathroom and bedroom. The view from the bedroom looked right out onto the Pantheon and the square below.

However, the best feature of the hotel in my opinion would have to be the rooftop terrace. The nice thing about this rooftop terrace is that it is exclusive for hotel guests only (so it is not crowded with tons of tourists). The terrace also has a bar, which is the perfect spot for aperitivos (sort of like a happy hour). We had our aperitivos during sunset and then came back after our dinner at around 9:30 for an after dinner drink and enjoyed Rome from above.
