Spa Sciences NOVA -The Newest Addition To My Skincare Routine
I recently shared my Clinique skincare routine in a previous blog post, but I wanted to do a separate article on the newest addition to my skincare routine, SPA Sciences NOVA
what is nova
NOVA is an Antimicrobial Sonic Cleansing System. It is a waterproof, rechargeable cleansing brush that includes both sonic technology and antimicrobial protection which give you the best possible results for cleansing and exfoliation. According to Spa Science, it cleanses your skin 7 X better than just using your hands (I can attest to this), it helps to get deep into your pores to remove everything from dirt and oil to excess makeup while also helping to remove dead skin cells to make your skin cleaner, softer, smoother, and brighter!

My experience with nova
As I mentioned before, when it came to washing my face with the facial soap, I just used warm water and my hands. While I thought this was effective (and it still is better than not washing with a facial soap at all), I was VERY mistaken. It wasn’t until I got the NOVA from Spa Sciences that I realized how ineffective washing my face with only my hands was.
After using NOVA just one time, I could tell a dramatic difference in the way that my skin looked and felt. The best part about NOVA is that it is SO easy to use and only adds an additional minute to your skincare routine (which was a huge plus for me).
where to buy nova
You can find SPA Sciences NOVA at Target, Walgreens, Walmart, and Kohls.
You can also purchase it here directly from SPA Sciences website.
how to use nova
Using NOVA is super easy and to be honest, there is not much a learning curve! It comes with a standing USB charger, which you simply rest it on in order to begin charging (it will light up). Once it is fully charged, you have about 2 hours worth of battery before it needs to be charged again. I just leave it in the charging stand when I am not using it.
To use it, you simply wet the brush and apply a small amount of whatever facial cleanser you typically use. There are 3 speeds (I recommend starting with the lowest speed), you can adjust the speed with the up and down buttons once you have turned it on. After adjusting your speed you being using the brush in circular motions on your face. There is a 30 second timer that will vibrate (once the 30 seconds are up) to indicate that it is time to move to the next section of your face. I recommend dividing up your face into 3, 30 second sections (forehead, cheeks and nose area, and chin/below the mouth).
